SocieTree: A one stop platform to establish a network for effective mediation between NGOs, volunteers and donors to maximize the effects of their efforts.

SocieTree is planning to organise social events to celebrate the occasion of 'Joy of Giving Week'. This occasion is celebrated every year by engaging people through "acts of giving" - money, time, resources and skills - spanning the corporate, NGO and government sectors, schools, colleges and general public. Following the tradition, we aim to provide social assistance by providing general commodities to needy people.

We have planned social events in collaboration with our partner NGOs. We'll be providing the commodities to the NGOs from the funds collected. Following are the details for the events being organised:
1. Mask distribution in collaboration with Nav Urja Yuva Sanstha:
By a simple act of providing masks and soaps to people in need, we hope to help people live a little relieved life in these distressing times of COVID -19

2. Sanitary pads distribution in collaboration with The Period Society:
Easing up the lives of women by providing sanitary pads and products and thereby making them aware about menstrual hygiene

3. Books distribution in collaboration with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled:
Enabling access to education to children with disabilities by providing them stationery kits comprising of notebooks and other necessary items

4. Animal Feeding in collaboration with The Leo club of Kolkata Royals:

Providing food to stray animals who haven't been taken care of and are suffering just as much due to these distressing times.

For the proper and smooth implementation of these events, we've planned to organise a fundraising event to maximize the funds raised.
