She is Geeta (40 years old). She is a household maid. Her husband is remains ill and therefore is unable to earn anything. She has two sons both daily wage workers.Around 3 years ago she loaned sum of 2,50,000 INR by putting her house as mortgage to a money lender for the marriage of her two daughters.She has payed around 2,30,000 INR (inckuding interest of 3 years i.e. principle amount of 50000 INR and 1,70,000 INR ) till now but due to high interest being charged she was unable pay the principle amount in due time.
Due to country wide lockdown her sons were jobless and she was unable to pay the loan amount.
The money lender already have extended the time limit to pay two times. But now he is asking either to pay 2,00,000 INR to pay as wholesome or they have to vacate their home.
She can't arrange that much amount by herself as she can barely earn to survive each month.

She is being working in my house since 10 years and she is an honest person and she did anything wrong.

Now she got two choices either she can borrow money from someone else and again she will be in debt of someone else or she can become homeless.

And to all of us who are reading this, we also got two choices either we help her in time of need or we can ignore and let another family to become homeless.

Home is where we all know we are safe,
we all know the importance of a shelter on our heads ,
and during these times of an endemic when we all our uring each other to stay inside a family is on the verge of getting homeless.
