Dear Donors,
This fundraiser is to raise money for educational help for Varalakshmi, 3rd year student of Bachelors in Agriculture.
Currently she is pursuing her 3rd year out of her 4 years of Bachelors in Agriculture. She has been always a topper in her class at school. She is an academically strong student coming from an economically challenged background. Her father is a mechanic and her mom is a Home-maker. She scored 85% in her higher secondary schooling and chose to pursue her dreams in the Agriculture sector. After much difficulties she managed to get a merit seat in VIT college, one of the top universities in India. It’s a 4 years course and currently she is stepping into the 3rd year. She came in the top 3 of her class during her 1st year and has maintained a good score also in the second year (GPA 8.0/10). To continue her 3rd & 4th year, she needs approximately 2,50,000 Indian Rupees which includes tuition fees, books etc. She is trying to apply for a loan but it is very difficult to obtain one. With her Father’s Salary of less than 10000Rs /month (< 100 Euros) it is impossible to continue her studies.
With Corona Pandemic, her parents barely make it for the day to day living for a family of 5.
Despite of all the hurdles, she continues to perform & score well in her exams.
