My name is Abhishek and I’m helping raise funds for this little boy who is fighting for his life.

Gaganeswar is only two years old. As little as he is, he has been diagnosed with acute leukemia in the first stage, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and will also require a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. He’s been in and out of the hospital for a couple of months now, and has already gone through two rounds of chemotherapy, and will need more in the months to come, so he can fight this illness. Fortunately, he has been diagnosed early, and there is hope. He’s currently admitted to the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru, India.  

His father, Babu, works as a cook in my locality, and Gagan is his only child. As such, he has dipped into his savings and borrowed money from family to be able to treat his son so far. But with the COVID-19 pandemic still raging, his sources of work have also dimmed, and it is proving very challenging for him to provide for his son’s medical expenses. The cost of the treatment that he would have to bear is Rs 3,00,000.

Little Gaganeswar needs your support if he is to make it through this ordeal. He’s only a child and is only discovering the joys of playing with toys and riding swings. He has much to do in life yet.
