Ja'pang is a service-led not-for-profit organization comprising of a multidisciplinary team that aims to promote positive mental health and well-being through awareness generation, adopting alternative means of teaching and learning, recognizing reinforcing and restructuring traditional and contemporary life skill practices by working closely with children, youth, and their families. It aims to identify gaps in mental health service provision, especially among Indigenous communities, by addressing false beliefs, barriers in accessing services among those from low socio-economic backgrounds and families with mental health needs. By creating an accessible, stigma free, resourceful environment it hopes to bridge the gap between service provision and beneficiary helplessness.
