Silchar City of Assam is witnessing it’s worst flood in century, almost entire city & outskirts are under water, water level is going above the first floor of the houses, Animals, Birds, humans all are suffering, huge shortage of drinking water as there is no electricity from last 6-7 days, all tubewells, wells, pond everything is under water,deep tube wells are unable to function as no electricity since a week, most PHE’s are under water, more than 600 electric transformers are under water & it will take more time to resume, hence created huge scarcity of drinking water.
Basic Foods shortages are hugely affecting people, most of the shops, Godowns are under water hence created huge wastages & no proper selling or distribution point. Peoples & Animals are suffering and dying
It’s time that people come forward voluntarily help.
