Story

India's Northeast is Inundated..

"When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed."- Picasso

Every year monsoon floods create great havoc and misery in the lives of people from India’s Northeast, washing away their homes, cultivations, livestocks and what not. This year, amidst Covid-19 pandemic, the situation is worse. Northeast, specifically Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh are battling against both Covid-19 and Flood. Northeast needs help. Northeast needs you, Northeast needs us. You and us are the ones who can help Northeast stay afloat. Let's stand for our fellow beings.

Who are we?

We are the students from India’s Northeast pursuing our studies in JNU. We stand up with everyone in need, we raise our voice for every injustice happening around.

Where will the funds be used?

The North East Students' Forum, JNU is collaborating with those working on the ground for the flood-afflicted people in rescue, relief and rehabilitation drives. We plan to cover all sorts of basic amenities that are required to survive these floods including rice, pulses, oil, salt, potatoes, medicines, masks, sanitizers, sanitary napkins, brush, soap etc. Furthermore, we also wish to help the animals which are equally affected in these floods. We are planning to provide them veterinary medicines and food.

Hence, we request you to donate as much as you can. Every penny you donate will bring us closer to help the needy. Please do consider contributing to the relief efforts. Thank you!!
