Malnutrition and related complications resulted in over 5 lakh child deaths in India in 2018. If not fatal, malnutrition results in irreversible damages impairing a child's mental and physical development. Often such children fall behind in school performance and unfortunately have fewer livelihood opportunities as adults, resulting in reduced earnings.
Fortunately, this can be prevented.
Malnutrition can be prevented by working with pregnant women to ensure that children are born healthy. Good nutrition, sanitation practices, medical monitoring and counseling helps them undergo healthy and safe delivery. For children already affected, early detection and treatment of malnutrition can prevent irreversible damages and help them grow healthy and strong.
Help us defeat malnutrition!
We call for your generous donations to reach 70 malnourished children and provide them treatment and work with 500 pregnant mothers to ensure they have a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
