Karwaan – The Heritage Exploration Initiative is organizing a two-day cultural and literature festival in New Delhi next year. We are a few history undergraduate students trying to make people aware of heritage, its importance and significance in our lives. We are organizing regular heritage walks, lecture series in Delhi for the last one year.

Virasat – Heritage Festival started because we are continuously ignoring the cultural values of our heritage sites, our culture and our identity. As students, we are deprived of practical knowledge and implementation of what we are being taught. We decided the best way to solve this problem is to start something that will benefit students especially in Delhi University and then people across the city in general, and then we started Karwaan – The Heritage Exploration Initiative last year in September. Since then, it has helped hundreds of students in gaining knowledge through our specially curated heritage walks with notable scholars and lecture series ‘KissaGoi’ with famous historians. This time, we aim to provide a wider platform for heritage activists, historians, scholars and students to present their ideas related to Delhi, Heritage and our history.

We have come a long way, but we still need your support. Your generous contribution will help us extend our dream by partnering with us in cash or kind. We as students have a vision for protecting our rich heritage and making people aware of our rich heritage and you can be a part of our journey.

We will be needing money to organize this festival:

1. Venue: Money will be spent to book auditoriums for 2 days in Delhi.
2. Security Arrangements
3. Speakers including historians, heritage activists and scholars and their accommodation for 2 days in New Delhi
4. Tent for festival, stage, mics, photographers, videographers, food for speakers and sufficient advertisements.
