My Name is Abinaya Elangovan and I am here to raise funds for the treatment of my father Elangovan D aged 51 was admitted to Meenakshi hospital, Tanjore on October 1st, 2020. We had rush him to the ER with complaints of breathlessness and severe cold for already a week. My father had no other symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, or even a sore throat.
A CT scan of the Thorax revealed COVID pneumonia with a High score. COVID 19 sample sent on the 1st of October came POSITIVE. He was kept only on the Oxygen Supplement and required medication. A few days later, he was not Improving and struggling more to breathe.
The X-Ray of him worsening day by day, then they decided to place him in ventilator on high flow more than a weak.
From Meenakshi Hospital, they said that my father need further treatment which they do not require. So, we planned to shift him to MGM healthcare Pvt Limited in Aminjikarai, Chennai.
We shifted him to MGM healthcare On October 30, 2020. Due to his severity, they placed him on Venovenous ECMO. It has been 40 days already. Now he must kept in ECMO ICU for more weeks to come until further recovery.
The cost of the treatment has already crossed 33 lakhs was covered by jewel and home mortgage. Being the daughter in the family I tried my best to cover the cost of the treatment. But now I am in a situation where I have to come to your support as I see you as my friends/family and kind hearts to help me with this fight to save my father and bring him back home. The road to recovery is not an easy one and unfortunately costs a lot of money. At his present condition, we are expecting at least another 30 Lakhs to pay the hospital to ensure my father is given the best of treatments. I will be forever indebted to you for all the help and prayers you are showering for my father. I am also attaching all reports and hospital statements pertaining to my father’s illness.
