About the Organization :
Sarv Jan Hitay Sansthan, established in 1999 in the
desert district of Jaisalmer, under the guidance of (Retd) Colonel N L Jagani,
has worked for the betterment of underprivileged and marginalized
(SC/ST) families for over 20 years.
Colonel NL Jagani served as a doctor in the Indian Army for nearly 40 years and has
been a recipient of numerous citations/medals. After retirement, he went back to his hometown in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan and decided to work towards the upliftment of poor and backward families in the villages around Jaisalmer.
Sarv Jan Hitay Sansthan is the organization started by him. It began with
the initiation of Health Centre Jaisalmer, an organization that held 160 medical camps in over 70 villages near Rajasthan, where Col Jagani provided free consultation and medicines to the villagers.
Since then, the organization has grown to include a coaching center for girls and a government-recognized primary school for underprivileged
and SC children, in Mandai village near Jaisalmer, in addition to multiple free and low-cost health camps that are conducted in rural areas across Rajasthan.
Currently, the organization is engaged in 3 major activities.
monthly rations to extremely poor families without any source of income
2. Conducting medical camps providing free consultations, and
3. Operating a school providing low-cost education in Mandai village.
How Will Your Contribution Help?
Sarv Jan Hitay Sansthan has changed the lives of many underprivileged
children in Rajasthan, by giving them access to education and better
employment opportunities. But we have a long way to go.
Currently, the school premises which is rented can only accommodate 40 children. To expand the intake, a new school building has been constructed out of its own funds. This building will be able to accommodate 50 to 75 children and will give
employment to 3 to 5 teachers from the SC community. Your contribution
could help cover the expenses incurred in teachers’ salaries, electricity,
maintenance and in providing better facilities like science labs, field trips,
computers to the children. Our goal is to build one of the best schools in the village and allow SC children access to educational opportunities which they are often denied.
Children from the SC community are ostracized and not allowed to take
admission in local village schools. We are aiming to address this
A contribution of Rs 60,000 a year from you could fund the education of

earning member and no other source of income (Rs 1,20,000 per
