Dulian Fernandes is a domestic worker from Dombivli. Hailing from a poor Catholic family, she lives in a rented house with her husband and three children. She is the lone working member of her family. Her husband lost his job as a guard in a bank to the pandemic. Moreover, Dulian has lost some of her domestic jobs too, leaving her with a smaller income than she had before the onslaught of COVID-19. Despite her constant slogging, she still remains to clear her monthly rents and depends on infrequent loans from her employers to fund her children's education.
Dulian's eldest child, Stephen (17), has just finished his tenth grade and needs to start college. Alison (10), her second child, has just started sixth grade. Prince (7), her third child, is in the second grade. The burden of rent and school education has further pushed Dulian's family from their already marginalised situation to an even more precarious place. It did not help that during these last few months, Prince has had a slow recovery from malaria.
Any and all help will help ease Dulian's constant worry of being compelled to move out from Dombivli to her husband's native place, where she would again have to seek fresh employment, with no actual certainty of being able to get by.
Kindly help Dulian and her family cancel her rent arrears and fund her children's school and college education.
