Ever since 2016, our situation has been tough when we first came to know about my father’s kidney failure. He was on dialysis till November 2017 when he finally was scheduled for a kidney transplant. Days before the scheduled transplant, he suffered an interventricular haemorrhage due to severe hypertension. He was treated for this at Apollo Hospital, Vishakhapatnam. He even made a full recovery from the haemorrhage in a short while. Soon after in December 2017, he had undergone kidney transplantation which was successfully done at Medicover Hospital, Vishakhapatnam. The donor was my Mother.
After the successful Kidney transplant, my father was healthy for the next 3 years in Ahmedabad, Gujarat where we have been living for the past 30 years. Due to the financial drain, this whole ordeal of medical issues and mine and my brother's education caused, he used to be under a lot of stress. I was expelled in the 6th year of MBBS, from my College in Ukraine as we were not able to pay the fee anymore. This further caused a lot of distress in our family.
In September of 2020, due to a sudden deterioration in his health condition, we had got some test done which showed a rapid increase in his creatinine level. For further treatment, we shifted back again to Vishakhapatnam. While he was being treated, I could see the situation worsening and that he needed another transplant. This is when I decided to be the doner for his 2nd transplant. Things were almost in place fro the operation when he contracted Corona while in the ICU. It was only after 8 gruelling days that he was finally tested and the RT-PCR test came positive for Corona. We shifted him to KGH Hospital (COVID 19 Department). It was already too late by then and on the very same day, he left us.
After these prolonged emotional, financial and physical struggles, our family is helpless and exhausted. We have shifted back to our apartment in Ahmedabad after my father’s demise. We couldn’t get any support from either of my parent's families. I tried to get any job I could to support my mother and brother who is in his 1st year of engineering, but due to the prevailing conditions post the pandemic, that didn’t come to fruition.
A few days ago, some of my senior mentors from Ukraine approached me, understood my situation and advised me to come back to Ukraine and complete the last semester. If I could go back, this semester could be completed by June 2021. This appears to be the only logical course of action after having tried everything else. But for this to happen, I need your help. This will enable me to support my mother and my brother's education back in India.
My father’s last wish was to see me with a stethoscope around my neck one day, his last words on the night of 11th November where I spent nearly 4 hours by his side.
We are living in a flat which has been under a mortgage for my educational loan since 2013. The outstanding loan and interest that has fallen due, amounts to Rs. 400,000.
For me to fulfil this last wish of my father’s and to support my family, the expenses detailed below are to be met by June 2021.

Flight (to and fro approx.) $1100
Personal expenses @350 USD pm $1400
