A Bangalore based NGO, Learning Point Foundation spearheaded by Mrs. Sarvath Adil Khan, has been striving since 3 yrs towards facilitating school dropouts from the lower rungs of society to complete their elementary education. With the ongoing pandemic, there has been an increase in the school drop-outs either due to loss of jobs of parents. This NGO is working towards making their struggle towards survival easier by completion of their primary education through the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). It is usually difficult for needy students to find a platform like Learning Point Foundation to make their dreams turn into reality. The expense to enroll and train to appear for NIOS is Rs 15,000 per student. Having received numerous requests from needy and deprived students, the NGO presently aims to enroll 20 such students to its upcoming batch of Class 10th & 12th boards out of 100 students. Apart from this, there are many students who are waiting to enroll themselves at the academy, for whom funds are awaited for their absorption.
With many Huffaz, children orphaned and women widowed, it is the need of the hour to provide hand holding support with such humble endeavors. Previously, many women through such programs have found their foothold with life-skill and soft skill trainings given by the NGO and progressed to become entrepreneurs of small businesses. Mrs. Henna (mother of a 6 year old), a student says, “my trainers have instilled confidence in me, to rebuild my lost hope and helped ignite my aspirations.”

The NGO is hard-pressed for funds to keep afloat during the pandemic and hence we appeal to those blessed by God almighty, to share their blessings with those hit by destiny and help raise a humble sum of Rs. 3 lakhs for the education and upliftment of 20 students.
