Medical experts agree that the only way to control the rapidly spreading disease is to practice social distancing and limit human-to-human interactions. In the past week, several states across India put this into action by closing down schools, colleges, malls, theatres, restaurants, shops and non-essential workplaces, recommending working from home where possible.

It’s important to remember that not all can remain in quarantine without their lives being completely upturned. The financial impact, especially on families that survive on daily income - labourers, domestic help, taxi drivers, restaurant waiters, beauticians/hairdressers have been far-reaching. On the other hand, there are many people in our society: doctors, nurses, conservancy workers (garbage/waste segregation), delivery staff, field volunteers working tirelessly to ensure our social needs are met: often at the risk of personal safety.

But if there’s anything that the pandemic has taught us, it is that people want to help those who need it the most.

This crowdfunding initiative is to highlight citizen initiatives carried out to mitigate the economic crisis faced by vulnerable families as well as support those who are on the frontlines with the monetary resources they deserve.
Our larger objective is to inspire each one of us to look within our circles, our neighborhoods, our workplaces and support the vulnerable in this hour of need. The only way to fight this is together.

This campaign aims to raise funds for daily wagers, Differently Abled, Migrant Labourers, who don't have the luxury of working from home and are struggling to survive during the Covid 19 pandemic and to provide food to them.  

Utilization of funds:

1. Food for the needs
2. support with their provisions
3. basic medi-kits for the family for preventing them from corona
