A vast number of the doctors enrolled in our association are currently working on Corona Virus Duty in various Govt & Private Hospitals

Our Executive members meeting for the Corona Virus Pandemic held on 23/03/2020 brought out a few deficiencies of the societal system. One most important concern which we agreed on was the sight of gross shortage of masks,gloves and PPE (Personal protective equipment) for the sanitary workers, security personnel involved in hospital duties and community cleaning. It was also brought to our attention that a high number of policemen are also serving the society without even basic 3 ply masks and instead, these people have been using hand kerchiefs and towels wrapped around their faces.

It is this vulnerable population that we want to help out because these are the people who come in close contact with infected patients/materials. The community spread of the Corona Virus can be well contained if we equip these workers with proper protection.

Hence we started out by using our remaining funds to buy masks and distribute them on a small scale basis. So far we have distributed only 1000 masks, which are of high demand and of a high purchase cost.

As preventing Community spread is the key to contain this crisis, we turn to milaap.

We require a minimum of
1,00,000 3-ply surgical masks
2,000 boxes of disposable latex gloves
1,000 PPEs

These equipment needs Intra-district and Inter-district distribution, which we can achieve by utilizing our vast network of doctors of our association who are willing to reach out and attain 100% distribution to the ones in need.

As doctor owned ambulances are available at our association, We are utilizing these for transporting medical supplies across districts.

As an association comprised of like minded doctors, we completely understand the dire need of these equipments which are imperative to save a huge number of common public from community spread of COVID-19
