We need funds for development of a point of care device for the rapid detection and monitoring of COVID-19 from human blood samples.

The kit will give results in 15 minutes turnaround time and can be used by health care workers to test whether a person is infected by COVID-19 or not.

The cost will be approx Rs.150/- per test.  This will enable extensive testing which is the need of the hour in India and help in rapid action, treatment and isolation of infected individuals. The funds raised will immediately be deployed to start the production of kit, getting a test licence and then proceed for contract manufacturing.

The Kit will be validated in at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnoogy, Trivandrum and other national Virology labs and approval will be taken from ICMR. A collaboration with RGCB Trivandrum has already been done for developing and testing the kit. 

A rapid diagnostic kit for the early detection of the disease is need of the hour to effectively block the community spreading of the virus.
