    This fundraiser will benefit

    dog sterilization

    from Panchkula, Haryana

Monsoons are here. Many people that take care of street animals are afraid of Monsoons and Springs as it will be “raining puppies and kittens” again. Puppies and kittens that nobody wants.

The only scientific method to humanely reduce the population of Street Animals is mass spay and neuters. As per Indian law, Community animals cannot be beaten, killed or driven away or displaced or dislocated, they can only be sterilized. As an NGO it is nearly impossible for us to get mass spay as we get almost 3-5 rescue cases daily on an average but yes we can start with getting 20 Dogs spayed initially. Once we are done with that we will try and increase the numbers with time and available resources.

I am Meenakshi Mahapatra founder of Animal Welfare Association Pachkula. We are a group of volunteers and rely completely on donations. Last year we focused on feeding, immunizations and adoption. But there is more we need to do to minimize our fur friends pain and miserable life on streets.

So, I am starting this fund raiser for the cause I strongly believe in. I am hoping to get 20+ dogs sterlized which are in dire need. By sterilizing Street dogs we stop so many unwanted puppies from miserable life on the streets - a lot of times, very short and painful life.  I am an animal activist and an animal lover since quite long and I love them, it is very difficult to see them in pain. Its difficult to look after all the community dogs as there number multiplies very quickly. So, I am trying to start this initiative of getting at least 20 dogs spayed in 2 months.

If you can’t give your time for rescue, sterilization or fostering, share this fund raiser or donate. Your donation can make a big difference in the life of our voiceless furry friends.

Hoping to receive the support of people who believe in co-existence across India & outside so that together we continue to improve the conditions of our community animals.
