Divya, a 20 year old B.Com student from MLA First Grade College for Women, Malleshwara was part of B.PAC's Green Ambassador Program. I have known and worked with her for over an year now. She lost her father when she was less than a year old and her mom Manjula, a flower vendor has hustled to get Divya an education.
Last December, her mother was diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Thrombosis (CVT). Since then Divya has had to work at part-time jobs, manage college and household chores. (And I havent seen this girl being low or complain about anything ever! )
Like, this wasnt sufficient for a 20 year old, her relatives started hounding her to get married. But our girl Divya, shut them all out and was succesful in getting a job through campus recruitment. She will be earning around 25000 per month from October, 2019, which will help meet household expensses including mother's medicine bills.
Meanwhile, Divya wrote Bengaluru Central University PG entrance exam to pursue M.COM (Finance and accounts) and got 24th rank out of 596 ranks. She has secured a seat but her counselling is on 29th August and has to pay college fees INR 59730 on 29th August, 2019. As the duration was less, from writing entrance exam to getting results, she hasnt been able to apply for any scholarships.
If Divya fails to get INR 59730 by end of tomorrow, she wont be able to pursue her masters degree. Help our hustler Diya!
