I am Anjana, a native of Elavumthitta in Pathanamthitta district. After getting married to Dinesh of Ayroor, I became Anjana Dinesh and started a new life in my husband’s home at Ayroor. Like any other newly married girl, I too cherished my dreams of married life and in due course we were blessed with a baby. Around the same time, I had been pursuing my B.Ed. degree. However, at the age of 25, my life got changed for ever when I was diagnosed with blood cancer. The subsequent two years saw my family selling off whatever we had as savings for my treatment expenses and contribution from number of well wishers amounted to Rs. 15 lacs. At a certain stage of treatment, while I was slowly returning to life, destiny began to hunt me again with an aggravation of blood cancer. Our family felt totally disappointed when we came to know that further treatments would need more than twice the sum of money that we had just spent. Neither my father who is an auto rickshaw driver nor my husband who has already lost his small job is in any position can find money for my blood cancer treatment. As a mother, I have not spent any reasonable time giving motherly love to my child. To cheer with my little one and join with my family, the pious people who know me through these lines are requested to give your financial support by considering me as a daughter or sister.
