We are members of the Dilli Seva group.
The current times are difficult for all. However, it is the most difficult for families from lower economic communities. We provide freshly cooked meals to daily wagers and their families twice a day and help them have a reliable supply of meals in the absence of employment opportunities.
• All donations are being used to prepare and distribute meals to families of daily wage earners located in:
1 Harkesh Nagar (Okhla) a Bengali migrant Basti with almost no support from local Govt.
2 Jagdamba Camp (Chirag Delhi) - daily wagers & construction site workers that have been moved to this camp so that they don’t return to their villages.
3 Lal Gumbad (Behind Panchsheel Park) - daily wagers like plumbers, electricians, auto drivers, etc
• Each meal consists of a combination of freshly cooked and packed rice and lentils (rice with dal or chole or chane or khichdi) in a 500ML box for a person twice a day till lockdown is over.
We have planned to reach nearly 57000 meals of these communities using the funds we receive.
