My name is Arvind Kumar, raising funds for my friend, Late Dilip Ajit Singh's family. He died battling Covid-19 for the last 23 days on ventilation. His HRCT severity score was 23/25, i.e., 92% of his lungs were infected. Initially, he was suffering from cough and high fever, and his Covid test was done in the local hospital on 4th May 2021. However, the result was Negative. After five days, his Oxygen saturation levels dropped to 66%. We immediately shifted him to the ICU ward of Universal Emergency Hospital and Trauma Centre Kumhrar, Patna. The only hospital agreed to admit the patient on 10th May 2021. After putting him on oxygen, the situation becomes stable; then, his HRCT test was done on 14th May 2021, and the score was 23/25. Since the day of admission, he was on Ventilation for the last 12 days, and his oxygen dependency rate became stable. Here, the ICU ventilated bed charge Rs.18000 per day + medicine costs and other service costs(Approx. Rs.48000 per day) occurred. The total expenses were approximately Rs 8,00,000 till 20th May 2021. He and his low-income family cannot afford these high expenses anymore. Therefore, along with the doctor's agreement, we transferred him to Paras Global Hospital, Darbhanga (Here, the total expenses were approximately Rs. 3,00,000). In the hope that he will recover from here. As he was on continuous oxygen, the situation was under control for the next couple of days. However, after two or three days, he suddenly became out of control, and on 30th May at 12:54 AM, he stopped breathing. I am continuously in contact with his family during all this time. They exhausted all their savings, and they are in a massive financial crisis. They are unable to pay all these hospital expenses of approximately Rs. 11,00,000. I request you to kindly contribute towards the help of his family during this time of need. Each contribution is significant for us!

About my friend:
He comes from a very low-income family in the very small village of Darbhanga, Bihar. He was married and has one 1.5 years girl child. He has one younger brother studying in graduation 1st year and a younger sister in the 10th. His father is a farmer and the only earning member of the family. He was the primary source of income for the family expenses. He used to work in Mumbai (selling books through a tiny shop) for the last ten years. Now, after his demise, the family's future does not look good. Also, they have to go for massive loans to pay hospital bills and other expenses.
