I am starting this fundraiser for my husband, Dharthi Chander Kaul, who contracted Covid-19 in April 2021 and is still recovering from it after spending six weeks in RESCUE Hospital Pvt. Ltd. hospital. On account of his severe COVID illness and a pre-existing liver condition, his recovery is far from over. He will need several comprehensive follow-up medical checks in the next six months, in addition to daily medication and nutritional supplements. With this fundraiser, we aim to meet the costs of ongoing treatment and home care for him for the next six months and the debts we have incurred for his hospital treatment.

My husband is the only breadwinner for our small family of three. My daughter is yet to finish her education, so we are dependent on my husband's income. However, this prolonged illness and recovery has left him unable to provide for us financially. Before falling sick, he held an ad-hoc clerical position in an educational institution, from which he is now retired. This leaves us with no income and meagre savings, much of which have already been exhausted on medical expenses. Besides this, we have also incurred debts to pay for his treatment.

With this fundraiser, I hope that I can raise enough funds for our family to get back on its feet and for my husband to get the care he needs to recover fully.
