Every small action done to give hope to India's slum and village children is important.

Antenna Trust has been providing tools for social change in rural India since 1995. Our mission is to find new ideas that would empower the local community rather than aid it. Self-sufficient solutions, we believe, are the key to raising people out of poverty. Our vision is to build model villages that promote entire community development, both economically and socially. This is why we are taking small steps toward rural children's education for complete social development.

In and around Madurai, we've started evening learning centres in 14 villages and slums. We have begun to educate the children in a small way, both academically and through our own supplementary curriculum that focuses on instilling life skills through action-based learning and alternative education, with the goal of improving their life skills, nutrition, environment, health and hygiene and so on.

The children's enthusiasm has been contagious. To improve their learning quality, we must pique their interest by making education more accessible and enjoyable.

The majority of the children in our learning centres, aged 6 to 12, have lost touch with core topics, language, and other skills. We believe that educational resources such as books, study materials, stationery are required to strengthen their basic foundations in language and other subjects so that they develop good reading, listening and observing skills.
As a result, the primary purpose of our crowdfunding campaign is to either raise funds to establish a modest educational resource library at our centre for our learning centre children to utilize, or to provide us with used or new teaching materials. Any donation, no matter how small, will be much appreciated.
