Dev (3) has a rare immunodeficiency that has caused multiple health complications and even led to cancer in the lymph nodes. With chemotherapy and a bone-marrow transplant, he has a good chance of making a recovery. We are in no position to afford our baby's treatment and are desperate for funds.

I am Krishna Kumar Gupta (Dev's Father) . I am an School Auto Driver but my health prevents me from working long hours. Every day, I leaves home at 5 a.m., intending to work late so he can earn some extra cash needed for Dev's treatment. But every day, after 5 p.m., I begins to feel tired, short of breath and rushes back home to rest so I doesn't fall sick. I can't afford to fall sick right now.

Two weeks back, he learnt that his son has Hodgkin Lymphoma – a cancer of the lymph nodes. Not just that – the doctors said it developed because he had the Hermansky Pudlak Syndrome and a rare kind of albinism that made her skin and eyes light-coloured.

Dev was born 12 years after we got married in 2015 (DOB of Dev: 18-04-2015). His birth was a happy occasion for us that had gone through some difficult times. I had just gotten a heart surgery. Dev was a happy baby and we were thrilled that he had inherited her late grandmother's light eyes. But Dev fell sick frequently – he would be irritable and developed frequent colds, cough and fever.

Varsha and me started to worry for our baby. We worst fears about our baby's health were soon to come true.

Little Dev doesn't yet know that he is sick. He is only able to tell us when something hurts. He is otherwise a happy child looking forward to going to school. We don't have the heart to tell him that it may not be possible this year and encourage him to play-act and prepare for school.
