Debojyoti has been battling illness with the help of his wife Kamalinee for a few years now. He lost his job and Kamalinee was left as the sole earning member with an ailing husband and ageing mother. She has had to sell off all of her assets including her home and jewellery to keep up with the medical expenses.

Now, he has suffered a stroke which has left a clot in his brain and half of his body paralyzed. The surgery and care is estimated to be close to 20 lakhs. She only has approximately 6 lakhs with the PF fund and the office insurance combined.
