I was born into a lower middle-class family on the outskirts of India's silicon city, Bengaluru. My parents - father, a hotelier and mother a homemaker. All was well, until I was 10 yrs old. Though we were not a wealthy family, my father's job at a hotel kept our kitchen fires burning. My father was suddenly unwell, and lost mobility, and couldn't work. My mother a home maker till then, taking care of my and my elder brother, had to start working. Poorly educated, she could only manage to find a job as housemaid. Shortly thereafter, my father left us, shattered.
My mother had to strive harder to make ends meet. My brother and I were keen to study and shifted to Govt school. I continued to study hard, and in the SSLC exams of Feb 2019, I scored a distinction! I obtained 94% marks! My dream came true. Unfortunately, my mother couldn't afford my college fees. My DREAM is to become a DOCTOR. I want to continue studies, but it is possible with support.
This is my plea to support my dream for higher education!
