The stray dogs in India lead a very harsh life from the minute they are born. If lack of food, shelter and brutality unleashed by humans is not enough, they face other threats as well in the form of diseases. Eradicating rabies is easy and inexpensive as well. Vaccinating the community dogs will not only help the dogs but also humans as it prevents the spread. There are over 100 dogs in my community and with some financial support, I will be able to vaccinate most of them. The cost of the vaccination is INR.100 or USD 1.4 per dog. The vet that will help us with this initiative is Dr. Sajitha George, a very kind hearted person who loves animals.
I plan on feeding them as well when they get their injection. We got to give them something so they focus on the food and not the pain.
The goal is to vaccinate 50 dogs and I humbly request any monetary support your can provide and your wishes as well .
