All daily wage workers in India are at home. It is very difficult for them to feed themselves & their family members until they are on regular work.
These daily wage workers are really helpless & they need urgent need from citizens. In such situation, it’s our duty to help these these workers in all manner.
These workers & their families need food to survive as they are out of job in this situation.
What we are doing?
We are arranging/distributing daily essential foods/ grocery to these daily wage workers so that they & their family members doesn’t remain empty stomach.
To whom we will help? 15,000 daily wage labours working in small factories & construction labours.
Immediate requirements: Food/Grocery
Target amount/fund to be raised & utilised: 10,000,000/-
Locations /Villages covered:
We are working in following different areas at initial phase.
Why it is essential to supply Food /grocery?
Daily wage workers have very less salary. They hardly fulfil their & their family’s stomachs after working full month. It means their survival is hand to mouth. In the lockdown, they are unable to feed themselves & their family members.
We will arrange daily essential foods from retail stores.
Food commodity to be distributed in one kit:
We have made a standard kit of commodities as below. The commodities in kit are common & daily essential for all. Each family will be given one kit as below-
|Wheat atta||5 Kgs||150|
|Edible oil||2 Kg||180|
Our target is to raise & utilise Rs. One crores.
In initial phase we are helping 15000 families & distributing them above kit of Rs.670/- which is worth for 15 days feed.
15000 families x Rs. 670 = Rs.10,050,000/-
We are making tie ups with local wholesale/retail grocery stores & online e-commerce sites for distribution of grocery.
Our distribution model will be of two types-
Model1: Direct delivery at beneficiary homes from e-commerce sites.
This will help reduce overall cost including commodity price (discount benefit), transportation & monitoring of process. Also it will avoid workers to go out of home. Social distance rule will be followed during delivery.
We will use this model in maximum cases wherever applicable because of above benefits.
Model2: Pickup from nearest retail store
Where e-commerce delivery is not available from respective sites, we will use following method.
The identified daily wage workers will be sent to the retail store which is in tie-up. List of workers will be given to grocery shop for distribution. Names in list will not be repeated with multiple grocery shops. Each worker will be sent to identified shops. At one time one worker will pick up decided grocery pack of Rs. 670/- from the grocery shop upon showing his Aadhar card. Our volunteers will monitor the whole process of distribution at each shop.
In this method, prices may vary by small amount compared to e-commerce prices
This method will also save cost on transportation & distribution.
Our retail partners will be Reliance Fresh & Reliance Smart outlets, & local wholesale retailers.
How are we following rules about current emergency situation?
Our distribution model itself answer this question. We will follow the rules released about social distancing to avoid crowd at public places.
We appeal all citizens to please contribute any amount towards the help of these people in this emergency. Your each contribution will help these workers remain safe from corona virus & feed these poor daily wage workers.
We request you to share the campaign link with your family, friends, relatives to help us achieve our goal.
This 100% contribution will be spend towards this cause.
We request all people to stay at their homes & keep themselves & their family safe. This will also help government to control corona virus spread.
