Story

Greetings from United Way of Hyderabad!

The second wave of COVID-19 has pushed India from a bad to catastrophic phase within a fortnight.

United Way of Hyderabad is currently focusing its campaign on three key aspects;

• Project Ashray (A Medical COVID Care Center treating patients with mild to moderate symptoms) in partnership with Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, SCSC, and all other IT associations

• 'Each One Gift One' - An initiative that aims to collect over 10,000 O2 concentrators and other key medical equipment for Govt. hospitals/old age homes and tribal regions across Telangana

•  Medical equipment/consumables for government hospitals

Project Ashray is a makeshift-free hospital set up in a record time of 6 working days - the 24/7 facility that has doctors, nurses, medical support, and also the ability to provide Oxygen support to the patients who may need it depending on their health condition. The Facility is equipped with 2 ambulances and Mobile ICU to handle any emergencies.

Ashray Centre was inaugurated on 3rd May 2021 by Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has been servicing the critical need. Given the surge in cases, the core team is now working towards increasing the capacity to 200 beds and also adding critical support like ventilators.

The initiative is being co-anchored by Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and United Way of Hyderabad with collaboration from HYSEA, NASSCOM, TiE Hyderabad, T-SIG, GHMC, AMCHAM, and Grace Cancer Foundation.  The funding for the initial 50-bed facility is provided by an MNC Real Page.

United way Hyderabad in partnership with Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) is seeking donations to expand the current facility from 50 beds to 200 beds which in turn can support over 2000 patients a month.

You can donate any amount of funds, as we have packaged donations from INR 10,000 to INR 10 crores.

Looking forward to your partnership in saving as many lives of the citizens against COVID.
