The number of cases in the nine districts of Uttarakhand has spiraled over the past 15 days; Pauri, the worst-affected hill district.
hundreds of people in around 30 villages have come down with fever and cold but in the absence of testing labs, they are being treated only for cold and cough, though showing clear symptoms of covid. There is panic around, shortage of masks, testing facilities, and even isolation wards/places.
As per one of the residents," to get tested we have to either travel to Srinagar, which is 90 km away, or Dehradun, which is 250 km away"

We, a group of Ex-army officers, the campaign being led by Maj Rakesh Sharma, SC, and Maj Anuradha Talwar, Retd are trying to make sure the minimal medical facilities reach the villagers. Maj Rakesh Sharma, SC has been closely working with the relief measures for over a year now and Maj Anuradha Talwar has just joined the team.

It is the need of the hour and looking at the surge of rising cases, for us to raise funds for these villagers, living in far-flung areas with practically no help and limited knowledge.
Helping them to survive this deadly pandemic is a matter of priority at this hour.

Any contribution from your end, big or small will help us provide them with masks, sanitizers, food, proper isolation facilities, testing facilities, etc, and arrange for ambulances, online doctor consultations, and more. The needs are enormous and funds are scarce to meet the challenges.
