    covid affected people

    from New Delhi, Delhi

With India suffering so much due to the COVID pandemic and people scrambling everywhere for medical supplies and oxygen support, it has become imperative that we as people come together and stand united irrespective of caste or religion. Ours is a small book publishing house in Delhi and we wish to do our bit for society during such times. Our hearts go out to those who have lost members of their families and are struggling. While NGOs and individuals are doing their best to support people with medicines and monetary donations at Hospitals and covid wards, we feel mental health is being ignored. The negativity, stress, and trauma that's around especially in and around hospitals and covid wards need to be carefully handled and something needs to be done to cultivate a sense of calm and positivity around before masses go into depression leading to chaos and destruction across multiple fronts. News of people coming down on doctors at Hospitals and health care workers committing suicides suffering from tragedy near them and even family members of deceased literally coming on streets due to mental trauma is not uncommon and seems to be increasing every day.
We have decided to take this initiative of donating books to Covid wards, hospitals, healthcare workers, and even families going through this. Every person who contributes to this novel initiative should feel blessed for they have helped bring a smile to the face of someone who has probably not even seen their families for days and is suffering alone. Imagine a patient away from family suffering in COVID ward alone with no access to anything, now reading a book on jokes or maybe positive thinking and smiling. How would you feel?
I urge each one of you to please come forward and contribute to this. Let's donate books. Let's make them smile. Let's educate them. Let's help them deal with this a little better.
