    This fundraiser will benefit

    COVID-19 patients

    from New Delhi, Delhi

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on rural populations have been severe, with negative impacts on unemployment, mental health, and the economic outlook. Many families have lost their sole bread winners to the virus, and many other are left without the necessary medical supplies to fight COVID-19.

Migrated workers who have come back to their homes have lost their jobs and made redundant, with no promise that they will secure another job in the near future and with no guarantee that they will not go to sleep with an empty stomach.

Hospitals and healthcare providers are facing a shortage of resources in their fight against the virus. Mortuaries are filled with dead bodies and cemeteries have been working day and night to make sure that our loved ones' souls rest in peace. Oxygen, amongst other medical supplies, is critically needed by patients at the hospitals. People are dying in India not because of COVID-19, but because of not receiving the correct treatment to defeat the virus.

HerHygiene, a non-profit organization based in rural areas of Bihar that provides young girls with access to menstrual products, wishes to raise funds in order to provide families with food supplies. The funds raised from this platform will be used to donate basic staple food to migrated workers and medicines and oxygen concentrators, one of the most important supply, to COVID-struck families in rural areas of Bihar.

We cannot do this without your support. Every penny you donate will take us a step further towards our goal of INR 1,00,00,000 and all the funds raised from this platform will be used solely for the purpose of helping rural families fight the deadly virus. Let us come together in this fight against coronavirus :)

Sincerely,
Akshita Jha (Founder of HerHygiene) and Ananya Mehta (Head of Events at HerHygiene)
