that the need of the hour is to have oxygen cylinders placed outside hospitals to treat out-patients.
There are currently patients who are stationed in ambulances / private vehicles outside hospitals who do
not have oxygen supply. We are now planning to bring oxygen cylinders to these patients who do
not need to be admitted, but still need to be administered oxygen.
The plan is to place vehicles outside a couple of hospitals with oxygen cylinders. We have identified
oxygen supply plants who are willing to join in the effort to help us fast track the refills. We have
volunteers currently from Gold Heart Trust who are helping us on ground with this effort.
NDSO is currently looking for funds for the purchase of oxygen cylinders. The costs are outlined
below. These costs do not include the cost of refills, transportation and vehicle costs.
Big Cylinders - 47L - 5 pieces - 34,000 Rs each
Small Cylinders -10 L - 50 pieces - 15,500 Rs each
Regulators - 55 pieces - 4500 Rs per piece
Total : 11, 92, 500 Rs
