My beloved father Vijayan Kannampilly passed away on 13 January 2021 after suffering a cardiac failure.
He was a man of many talents -- a prolific artist, a dedicated journalist, and the author of a best-selling cookbook about Kerala, his favorite place in the whole world.
Although he left the world of journalism decades ago, his commitment to a free and vibrant media never wavered. I can think of no better way to honor his memory than to support the meaningful work done by PARI (People's Archive of Rural India) in chronicling the stories of India's 1.3 billion citizens.
