I have been visiting the urban slum of Seelampur in Delhi to study their access to food for over two years now. Unfortunately, during this time Delhi suffered four waves of Covid leaving the most underprivileged on the edge in every respect. At this backdrop Sambhav Initiative was born that provides educational support to children who have suffered loss of education due to the digital divide caused by inability to purchase smartphone, same smartphones being used by all members of the family, lack of study material, lack of anyone to clarify doubts face to face and lack of space to study among various other stressors apart from providing dry ration as Covid relief.
From the fund raised rs. 200000 would be spent on remuneration of the teachers, rs. 100000 would be spent on infrastructure and resources and rs. 100000 would be spent on running community kitchen for most disadvantaged in the community.
