    from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh

As we see hundreds of people suffering from lack of oxygen and medical aid around us,
Cpac - Chittoor people's action committee comes up to set up a helping hand in supplying free oxygen through cylinders and concentrators to rural and urban areas in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

Come join us in this mission to save lives and support people to fight covid-19.

Donate - save lives - fight covid - India united

We, volunteers of CPAC (an NGO in Chittoor), have started the FREE OXYGEN CYLINDERS initiative to help people around Chittoor who are in dire need of oxygen support. Because of the poor hospital infrastructure and facilities, Chittoor got - we have firsthand experiences of seeing people suffer. People almost always had to travel to other cities for better care and it is even more now in COVID times - often with oxygen support required. There are even cases where we had to supply oxygen to people getting treated at home with the support of professional doctors. We have been doing this over the last few weeks and have been supplying Oxygen-free of cost for people in need. We have already spent a good amount on procuring cylinders and we have been spending from our own pockets for the refilling of cylinders. It had never been a burden for us to help people and we have a good number of people working on the ground to keep this initiative going. As much as it requires people on the ground, as we still see the constant demand for oxygen, it equally requires financial support for the procurement and refilling. For the same, we have started a campaign to raise funds to keep this noble initiative going. We urge you to contribute in whatever small way you can and thank you from bottom of our heart. There is no better feeling than helping people breathe and saving people's lives.

Donate Now:  Help Us To Help People Better Breathe. Thank You.

About CPAC :
CPAC(Chittoor People's Action Committee) is a registered NGO with THE REGISTRAR OF SOCIETIES ( Reg No : 27 of 2017 ). We as an organization are at the forefront of almost every social activity that happens in Chittoor district headquarters. We work closely with the Corporation, Police Dept and various other departments to bring change and educate public. Campaign to Eliminate Corruption, Say No To ‘Vote For Note’ campaign , distributing Clay Ganesh Idols, Swachha-Chittoor in line with Swachha Bharat mission, Smart Chittoor, Cultural Events, Curation of Citizens Manifest, Campaign to establish university in Chittoor, running a shelter home for homeless people in the COVID times are to name few activities we had run. This is just to give you an assurance that we are not a name sake NGO and we sweat in the ground to educate and help people in every possible way we can.
Shelter for Homeless during COVID19 2020 National Lockdowns, which became model for entire state: CPAC has played a crucial role in Chittoor during the first lockdown last year (2020). We noticed that the first vulnerable people in society are beggars/homeless and had started Shelter for homeless with very nutritious food, yoga, and recreation activities to change their mindset. Our shelter for the homeless became a role model to the rest of the state and GoAP also replicated our model shelter in every district. Volunteers identified beggars in and around the Chittoor and proactively moved all of them with the support of Police officials. This Shelter Home has given shelter for 100+ homeless and was run for 55 days with the official support of Municipal Corporation, Police & Revenue departments. The unique and proud thing is we have reunited most of beggars/homeless people (some were mentally ill too) with families and left out 35 Orphans were joined in nearby orphanages, resulting no beggars or homeless in Chittoor town by end of 55 days run. The impact is, there is a reduced number of beggars/homeless in Chittoor even today and there were no serious cases due to under privileged homeless reported till now. This shelter home premises was provided to us at Social Welfare Girl Hostel beside PVKN College, on the recommendation of the then Collector.
And it is with the same intentions, in these tough times, to help people in need we have started the FREE OXYGEN CYLINDERS initiative and we are again at the forefront to help people who are in need.
