Dhirendra Kumar, a 32 year father of 2 girls, working for a Metro Rail construction company in Nagpur, met with an accident while working at the Metro construction site, in July 2021. He underwent treatment but ultimately became a paraplegic and lost the use of his lower limbs.

He has 2 daughters, aged 4 and 7 and wife Poonam Kumari, along with parents and a younger brother. Parents and wife/children are completely dependant on him. Due to this accident, the financial condition of the family has deteriorated.

After the accident, his employer promised full financial support till he becomes physically independent. They covered the initial surgery and hospitalization costs. However, after September 2021, they stopped covering his expenses, for unknown reasons. Since then he is bidding his time in the same hospital, at the mercy of a kind doctors and management. The hospital is now unable and unwilling to support him any further, because of limited resources.

The reason for this fund raiser is to cover the costs of Dhirendra's rehabilitation, which will help him achieve physical mobility and enable him to begin work again and sustain his dependant family.
