99% of these children belong to Low Income families that earn less than INR 35,000 a year.
The problem is compounded in severe rape cases where children have complex health concerns. Lacerations in private parts, internal injuries and pregnancies require specialized and high-quality healthcare interventions that are often unavailable at the local health care center's.
Moreover, marginalized families are unable to provide adequate nutrition support to children, an aspect that is essential for recovery of Child Sexual Abuse victims.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, many of the parents have lost their livelihoods and have scant money to sustain the basic needs of their children. Our Organization receives recurrent requests, for support, from families of Child Sexual Abuse victims.
To cater to the annual health care, nutrition, psychological and legal needs of 100 Child Sexual Abuse victims, in the Kamrup Metro District of Assam, UTSAH has planned this fund raiser.
With adequate support, we can achieve the following for 100 children, annually :
(1)Health Care support
(3)Psycho-social and legal support
With your support, we can help these little, yet broken children, and provide them the strength to recover, rehabilitate and achieve justice.
