The shelter home provides a place to stay for the homeless children, care, support, and protection to the children. Lok Utthan welfare Society works for around 35+ children, providing proper meals and nourishment and education to all the children there. Every child has the opportunity for indoor and out-door recreation and play facilities along with training in crafts and hobbies. These children used to go to school everyday for proper studies and were progressing well too.
The problem these underprivileged children are facing due to the pandemic, education is being affected due to lack of digitalization in learning. As these children are not able to attend the regular schools which they used to do before this pandemic.
We are preparing to digitalize the learning for them by making different equipment available along with the study material at the shelter home. We already have all the videos and content framed accordingly on our YouTube page of HOPE, so by providing them with digital learning sessions by keeping 5-6 gadgets in their shelter home so that they can get uninterrupted learning and can keep growing even with the pandemic.
Long term impact :
As this project provides a way to learn in these versatile situations too, so the children won't face a time gap or feel like quitting at this stage at all. By this they can get the education by sitting at their shelter homes which would be fruitful now and then.
