Sri Anamay Nyas, popularly known as Anamay Ashram; is located outside Kausani, Uttarakhand and has been working for the preservation and promotion of the Vedic heritage of India in the Himalayas since 2003. It offers free of cost, a full time residential program in Vedic Studies. Students come from different states of India. Children from the ashram attend the government primary school which is some distance away, and is the only school in a 7 kilometer radius. Education facilities are almost nonexistent. Even the only play school is a  lone Aanganwadi, .  After completing class five a child and his parents are free to make a choice to go for Vedic studies, or join a mainstream school. With schools closed during the pandemic, the ashram had no option but engage these children in various nature activities. Soon villagers in the vicinity began to send their children to be part of these activities and learning. That is how the idea of starting a primary school took birth. The ashram with its natural surroundings and abundant flora, and expansive space can be an ideal place for a child to learn and blossom.

With the coming of winters and its attendant hardships especially in the mountains, a school nearby is not just an advantage, but acts as an impetus to continue education.

Funds will be used to construct two spacious rooms, with adequate infrastructure, study material and any other incidentals.
