Hope everyone is doing well. I am Chetan Singh, a 28 years old aspiring entrepreneur, determined to create an eco-friendly infrastructure.
My former colleague and I are starting a company. The idea is to optimise packaging and provide efficient logistics solutions to fashion industry, using biodegradable and recyclable materials to reduce carbon footprint, resources used and overall shipping costs.
The single-use plastic weighing equivalent of 80,000 Elephants is thrown away each year worldwide by fashion industry alone. 32 million kilograms or 3.2 lakh tonnes of plastic is thrown after one time use. While no one knows the exact number of one time used poly bags, it's been estimated to be 90% on all clothings i.e. 90 billion plastic bags and garment covers.
Our plan is to address the elephant in the room and reduce these number and the impact it does on environment by providing sustainable packaging solutions to fashion industry. We also plan to build an online fashion store to promote and curate Indian brands who are keeping the Indian heritage alive and crafting such high quality goods, that makes them far more superior and valuable than any hyped fast fashion brand.
Is this business model scalable? Yes. Is it doable? Yes. Is it impossible? No.
How much investment I need?
Not much. 1,500kg of Wheat. Just to get registered and be eligible for any kind of funding, a total of ₹30,000 is needed per director. In ₹60,000 marketplace will become available to us and we can transact legally.
Target of this fundraiser is ₹1,50,000. Why I need another ₹1,20,000?
The primary reason why we were able to plan this business model at such a low cost, is because we are leveraging the technology and services we have at our disposal. It was never this easier and convenient to start a business in the entire human history. To start effectively, I need a laptop to move forward and execute actions needed to make this a reality.
What kind of laptop I need? Why I can't ask some professional to do this for me?
I need atleast 3Ghz of processing power combined with a minimum of 8GB RAM (16GB preferred), SSD storage and manageable GPU. It has to be a touch screen laptop with 400 nits brightness and should weigh less than 1.5kg. These things will ensure the designing softwares I plan to use runs smoothly. Lightweight and brighter touch screen display will give me such mobility that I can quickly show my plan even when an investor's attention is granted only for a minute.
I can definitely ask an expert to design for me. However, until and unless I don't have a registered company and I officially hire some expert, we will have no legal rights to the designs and they may use for their benefit.
Why due date is 4th November 2020?
The online store which will keeps us afloat and bring in some profit, recognition in the marketplace is based on featuring one of the best Indian fashion labels. By the end of November 2020, business association has been committed by me, to some of the biggest names in Indian fashion industry. If it is not delivered as commited, it will impact the company's credibility and mine as a director. I can't afford to loose clients when these are the labels which defines the uniqueness of our store. We are prepared to learn, struggle and fail. But we are not prepared to be doomed.
There is no limit as to how much you can donate or lend. You can donate ₹1 if you want to. It's enough to encourage us to endeavour higher, faster and further.
