Charlie/Joe/Tuffy has been a sweetheart of a puppy who smiled ear to ear. His warm gestures & ever-moving tail touched everyone's heart around him. He meant no harm to any other human or dog. He is about 4 to 5 years of age & to date has had no ailment. He is a resident of Koramangala, Bengaluru.
His gait was similar to a trotting horse & his spirits always high & majestic. Unfortunately two weeks back, Charlie met with an accident, a merciless stranger ran his car over him. This caused severe spine damage & loss of movement of his hind legs. A group of dog lovers rescued & treated him at Cessna Veterinary Hospital, where his surgery successfully happened.
But the bill including the surgery & inpatient charges has touched a whopping 1.25 lakhs. We have all collectively managed to pay for this treatment, but we need more for his full recovery & that's why the plead for help.
The doctor says that Charlie can walk again, but he needs dedicated physiotherapy, cathedral & regular food and walks. He can not be left on the streets at this time. CUPA has agreed to take care of him, however, the treatment, stay & other necessities etc would require 50k per month.
Even with collective donations, we won't be able to match that amount & would be needing your help. Please do come forward and help Charlie get on his feet again. Every small amount matters.
