Dear friends and well-wishers,
My name is Shubhangi, wife of Chandrakant, who suffered a major brain stroke on 24th June 2025 while on a work trip to Delhi. He was in critical condition, admitted to the ICU for over a week, and has now been shifted to a regular ward. However, the stroke has left him completely paralyzed on one side, and he is now bedridden, requiring constant care.
We are a family from Pune. Where I work, I have access to employer-provided medical care. Unfortunately, since this medical emergency occurred out of station, no support could be availed, and all costs have to be borne out of pocket. The current hospital bill in Delhi NCR has already reached ₹9.39 lakhs, expected to rise to ₹11 lakhs by the time of discharge.
We now need to arrange for his transfer back to Pune, which will require a special medical transport, followed by a long and expensive rehabilitation journey over the next 6 months—costing an estimated ₹20+ lakhs. We are seeking to raise overall sum of Rs 20 lakhs to cover:
With gratitude,
Shubhangi
