Thanks for giving your time to read through.
Let us look at some of the facts regarding child labour in a country where 37% of the population is children.
1. The no.of child labourers in India is 10.1 million of which 5.6 million are boys and 4.5 million are girls.
2. A total of 152 million children – 64 million girls and 88 million boys – are estimated to be in child labour globally, accounting for almost one in ten of all children worldwide.
CASA India understands the seriousness & the consequences of the situations if not taken care of at the right time. Therefore, CASA started the successful initiative of the Child Labour Free Zone (CLFZ) by Building Bridge Course Centres (BCC). These schools provide free education to children who have dropped out of school and have indulged in child labour due to unfavourable circumstances in their families as well as provide sustainable livelihood options to their families.
We are hopeful that you will join us in this social work and help us with your kind donations.
