It’s time to re-LEARN!
We are facing the biggest health crisis of our generation. The COVID-19 pandemic will have lasting consequences, especially on vulnerable sections of the society. The sudden and enormous disruption caused by COVID-19 has, particularly, affected children from under-resourced backgrounds. The disruption in their schedules will lead to exponential learning gaps which must be filled by targeted, cost-effective, grassroots interventions.

Our strategies reconfigure teaching methodologies and break down traditional tactics. We challenge the current rote learning mechanisms in schools through innovative and outcome-driven learning methodology.

Similarly, we reach out to youth who were forced to drop out of school or were unable to progress far enough with their education due to various reasons such as financial barriers or family circumstances.

What are we doing?
Keeping in mind the unprecedented challenges that the COVID crisis brings in every year, and aligned with the expectations of children, parents, and teachers, we at Care India Welfare Trust feel it is time for learning to begin again – and importantly, in a fun and engaging way!

To this end, whether schools open or not, Care India Welfare Trust intends to bring Agastya Foundation’s Science (Lab-in-a-Box, Lab-on-a-Bike, Science Center) and Maths Program coupled with Teacher’s Training at the heart of the community where our organization is working. We are equally eager to replicate one of their programs Operation Vasantha at a later stage.

How can you help?
Annual Operational and Capital Expenditure for Lab-on-a-Bike and Science Center will be around 15 lakhs and 10 lakhs respectively.

As little as Rs. 600 could help realize our milestone. Every contribution, no matter what amount, goes into erecting Science Center and revolutionize science education by harnessing children’s innate curiosity, questioning nature and ability to think laterally through Lab-on-a-Bike project.

We dream of these children being imparted scientific learning through innovative and student-friendly solutions that they later grow up into socially conscious volunteers and go back to their home villages and tutor children who are not going to school and become an inspiration for them. We believe that introducing them to cutting edge technologies today will make them confident technology leaders of tomorrow.

Come, join the fun!
