Support Brijkumar Verma Recover From Brain Stroke

Hi everyone, like a lightining stroke in heavy thunderstorm life is also very uncertain that you never know when it hits on you. Especially when it comes up on health of your near and dear ones.

My name is Rahul Chakraborty and I am here to fundraise for my father in law, Brijkumar Verma.

Mr. Brijkumar Verma is 75 years old and is residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has been diagnosed with Malignant MCA Infarct, it's a severe form of ischemic hemispheric stroke which is characterized by the large extent of the ischemic lesion that occupies more than 50% of the MCA territory and may extend to other adjacent territories as well.

He had undergone a surgery where the Doctor removed thrombosis from the larger arteries but blood clots started developing in his right side of the brain through large number of small arteries. As everyone of you is aware that Brain is such an important but mysterious part of our body and any malfunction in it stops the whole body. Due to these clots on his right side of the brain his left part of the body, including face, hand and leg are paralysed, due to which he is not able to move or sense anything on that part. Though he can sense somethings but he is not able to talk or respond.

He is being treated in Nanavati Hospital and is kept under observation in their Critical Care Unit, with ventilation support in order to avoid any further complications in lung and to safe guard his wind pipe. Currently, his situation is highly concerned because if the blood clot formations won't stop or it will shift to other side of the brain then it will create major issues. His condition is already deteriorated in last 48 hours and if it continues in same pace then the expense will also rise by a big margin, which is expected to go up by Rs.1500,000 including daily ICU charges, medicines, doctor charges, blood thinning drugs, injections etc.

Mr. Brijkumar Verma is a retired journalist without any pension and me and my wife have already used our savings for his hospital charges till now. Looking at his current conditions we are preparing ourselves for the future expenses where we will be bounded to put our foot down and request for your help.

Please come forward to help me save my father in law. Any contribution will immensely help my family. I need your support and prayers to bring him back home and stand on his feet slowly and steadily. Do contribute and share this campaign link with your friends and family.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for the support and love.

My father in law has come out of danger now by god's grace but still he is not totally out of unconcious stage. His left side of body is paralyzed and he is not feeling any senses on that. He will be needing 24x7 nursing and caring and physiotherapy and speech therapy on daily basis. His speech is not yet back and feeding is happening through nasal pipe. One pipe is attached with his trachea and another suction pipe is also attached with his windpipe to suck out the secretions. Still a long way to go indeed but god is definitely there to help him to take a step at a time.

Thanks

Dear Supporters,

Firstly, hearty thanks to each one of you who stepped forward at this crucial time and helped us financially and morally. My family will always be indebted to all of you.

I would like to request you all to keep on praying for Mr. Brijkumar Verma's speedy recovery which will surely help him to get his consciousness back.

As per the doctor's latest updates, he is out of danger now and started responding better than before though he is not able to open his eyelids but he is understanding the commands. Though he has not yet regained full consciousness but he is slowly understanding the activities. Doctor said that it will take some more time for his eyelids to function but he will open it surely, even his speech will also improve.
But the sad part is his left side of the body which is paralyzed due to this severe Brain Stroke, will never be fully recovered. There are chances of 40 to 50% recovery with due course of time and with the help of physiotherapy.

He is still in Critical Care Unit of Nanavati Hospital under Doctor's and nurses 24x7 observation and if his conditions continue to be stabled then very soon he will be shifted to a ward. But yes, another important point is the bill which is running very fast, already crossed 15lacs and slowly slowly it is becoming hard for us. Which is a fact. And it's for sure we as a family will fight at any level to get him back to normal.

So, it's my request to others to please help us and donate whatever is possible and surely pray for him. Another update is for your donation Milaap is also helping us by adding 15% in that amount from their end which is really a very helpful step towards us. I am very much thankful to Milaap and will always be. Very few can take this step and come forward for the mankind and Milaap is one of them.

God bless you all.
