Inside Me is a non-profit organisation based in Delhi that works with blind children from remote villages of Bihar, UP, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and other nearby states since its inception in 2013. Being an effort thriving on volunteers, it has expanded its operations from Amar Colony Blind School to JAAV, Sadiq Nagar, training and teaching 15-20 students in each school.
During the pandemic, these children have faced tremendous difficulties. Last year during the lockdown, Inside Me provided them with sanitisers, dry ration, fruits, fresh vegetables, and clothes. This year they helped some of the students go back to their hometowns by providing their airfare. To continue assisting the children desperately in need of their support, Inside Me aims at raising funds, which will provide:
1. Part of the funds will provide the children with phones, enabling them to attend their online classes. In addition to that, their data packages will also be recharged.
2. The funds will provide subject-specific tutors who can take regular online classes.
3. Necessary tools like the stylus, raised lines reference books, slate, braille material, and papers to make notes will also be provided.
The monthly expenditure for Inside Me is Rs. 40,000, including tutors’ charges, phones, data packages, volunteers, and children’s other needs regarding studies.
We hope to collect at least Rs. 5,00,000 to provide the students with a life they can truly enjoy!
