Hi I am Siddharth Behera. I am raising this fund on behalf of  Deep Blind Welfare Association. (http://www.deepblind.in/)

This welfare association runs a shelter and vocational training for poor and backward blind people in New Delhi, India. They are in urgent need of your support due to the COVID pandemic and lockdown in the city. 

The association has been extensively involved in providing vocational training, educational training (computer training, braille writing system, etc. ), candle making, Dhoop batti & Aggarbatti making, waste material recycling, organized sports tournaments, etc. In past few years they have successfully empowered many individuals with physical disability to make their own living by getting jobs/starting business around Delhi region.

The second wave of COVID pandemic has hit them very badly. There is a severe reduction in their financial help received through charity, donation etc. This has led to severe shortage of food and medical supplies. They are unable to fund for their external tutors, cook and care takers to take care of these beautiful souls. The few listed issues are mentioned below:

1. Severe reduction (60-70%) in financial help, charity, donation

2. Extreme shortage in food and medical supplies

3. Water shortage/Plumbing issue

4. Purchase of computers, Braille books, other necessary equipment

5. Dump yard right outside the premise
