As we know, winters are coming. In our country, still millions of people suffer to get a roof under their head, they have to live on footpaths and on open streets in this chilling winters. This winter we at Karunalya Social Welfare Foundation, have started a Blanket Donation Campaign, where we provide high quality warm blankets to the underprivileged living in the open on the streets. We try our best to reach out to people in Jodhpur and outskirts of the city in the western Rajasthan.
Donate a blanket save a life – There is no better gift than providing warm clothing to the needy during winter season. Over 1.7million homeless experience bitterness of winter and are at a great risk of suffering from severe illnesses. The rise in air pollution levels and the early onset of winter this year has given us an opportunity once again to donate blanket and save a life. This winter become a part of our mission. There cannot be a bigger satisfaction than saving someone’s life.
Be a hero of homeless – We all possess something to give. With a personal commitment to bringing about a difference in the lives of people, you CAN make a big difference. There may be a shivering child, an old women or a man in your neighborhood dreading the everyday drip in temperature and waiting with anxiety for a helping hand. How much one good quality blanket costs?
Since we purchase blankets in bulk directly from the manufacturers, on average a good quality warm blanket cost approx. INR: 300.00 (Indian Rupee three hundred only)
Which are the areas covered during this winter drive?
We are covering the areas of Jodhpur district of western rajasthan.
Total numbers of blankets required?
We are targeting to distribute 1000 plus blankets during this winter season.
Will I get 80G tax exemption for my financial donation?
Financial donations to the Karunalya Foundation are exempted u/s 80G of Income Tax.
Will you share picture of blankets donated by me?
We share pictures and videos of our blanket drive on all social media platform including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. We can also send pictures through email, if desired by any donor.
Can I also join during one of your blanket distribution drive?
